FEATURED PROJECT
Submissions Open for The Dark of Winter: An Anthology of Poetry, Art, Short Stories, and Photography
Deadline for Submissions: March 1, 2026
At First Light Literary, we believe in celebrating all creators, no matter where they come from or how unconventional their story might be. This season, we’re calling for submissions to our first anthology: The Dark of Winter. This collection will explore the chilling beauty of winter’s darkness; the long nights, the quiet solitude, the internal and external reflections that come when the world seems still and silent.
We invite writers, poets, photographers, and artists from all backgrounds to submit their work, whether you’re an established creator or someone just starting out. This anthology is an opportunity for you to share your vision of winter through the lens of poetry, short stories, or artwork that captures the cold, the quiet, the darkness, and the magic of the season.
There are no barriers here, just a welcoming community of creators, ready to share their respective visions.
All contributors retain full rights to their work. While anthology participation does not include payment or royalties, your work will be professionally published, promoted, and seen by a wide audience. Optional professional services are available but never required.
Best of all? We are publishing this book; all you have to do is submit!
